Plant Ffynnon is a community-driven project designed to foster resilience and well-being in children and youth. By partnering with local schools and youth groups, we offer opportunities to visit our community gardens, providing a chance to connect with nature, breathe fresh air, and engage in meaningful activities. These visits encourage social interaction, build fitness, and develop life skills, while creating pathways to volunteering, workshops, and further learning experiences. Our mission is to inspire the next generation to thrive in a supportive, outdoor environment.

Community collaboration
We extend our efforts to support emotional well-being in the community by collaborating with others, including the Small World Theatre’s Amethyst Project and Futureworks through our own Demetae project sessions!
Working alongside like-minded community ventures, we ensure kids’ workshops and activities are available at our open days and community events!
Bean Sprouts @ The Field Of Beans
Our newest venture, the Beansprouts Project, welcomes babies, toddlers, and children of all ages into the garden alongside their families. By breaking down barriers to accessing community gardens, we’re creating a space where families can now connect with nature, learn from each other and the broader community in a safe space outdoors!
Working with schools

So far under the Plant Ffynnon initiative, we’ve partnered with schools in Newport, Eglwyswrw, and Cilgerran to bring the benefits of nature to young minds. They’ve now had the chance to plant, tend to, harvest, and taste food from our gardens.
