Clynfyw Community Garden

Community Growing at Clynfyw

Everyone is welcome to join the community vegetable garden at Clynfyw on Thursday afternoons starting at 1 pm. The garden features established no-dig vegetable beds and an array of composting bays. Thursday is regular composting day, where you can observe the composters in action (weather permitting). Our aim is to build soil fertility and grow as much food as possible using nature-friendly methods. This helps to increase local resilience and reduce our carbon footprint. Tools, equipment, and gardening gloves are provided, and new gardeners are always welcome. Together, we can learn from each other while enjoying productive and sociable time in the garden—and everyone gets to take home super-fresh vegetables!

It’s not all work—we now have a lovely shelter with reclining chairs where you can relax, chat, and admire the beautiful surroundings and abundant wildlife. Exciting times lie ahead as Ffynnon develops new low-impact Farmstart buildings on the site, which will include facilities for gardeners.
