We are preparing for the launch of the Cegin Teifi Community Fridge in Cardigan and we’d love to invite you to the opening:

Where? The Guildhall, Cardigan
Who? All welcome!
This will be a chance to celebrate our new community service and to find out more about it and how you can support it.

Cegin Teifi Community Fridge
The Cegin Teifi Community Fridge will be based at The Guildhall, Cardigan and will help to reduce food waste. It will provide access to free food for everyone in the community.
We will start with a one day a week session on Fridays 12 – 4pm and hope to grow this, as we build our volunteer team.
But we need your help! As well as volunteers to help run the fridge, we need surplus food to fill the fridge. If you would like to pass on any surplus to us on a regular or one off basis, please get in touch. Food available in the fridge will be posted on social media and the local businesses donating food will be listed as much as possible.
Donations of food can be delivered to the Community Fridge on Fridays 10am – 12noon to Stall L27, The Guildhall Market, College Row, Cardigan SA43 1JL. Please contact us before you make the journey, in case we cannot take the items for any reason: 07356 215 614 (or ceginteifi@gmail.com if 2+ days in advance.)

Foods we can take
✅ In date foods
✅ Unopened packaged foods (tins, jars, packets)
✅ Whole uncut fruit and vegetables
✅ APHA registered fresh eggs, and unopened pasteurised dairy
✅ Commercially packaged foods or from a registered food business
✅ Cooked/packaged items fully labelled with ingredients and potential allergens
Foods we can’t take:
❌ Any foods past their Use-By date
❌ Raw meat, raw fish, unpasteurised milk, cooked rice
❌ Home cooked meals or jams etc made at home
