Learn how to save seed effectively and develop locally adapted plants for greater harvests and food security. What is the Ffynnon Seed Circle?
Ffynnon is developing a group of growers in West Wales who want to save seed of one or more types of vegetable, to share knowledge and seeds. Locally grown seeds are locally adapted – providing vigorous plants and bountiful harvests. Seeds can either be saved ‘true to type’ for favourite varieties, or participants will develop a local landrace: breeding genetically diverse and adaptable new varieties.
Ffynnon will put on a series of training events and visits to help you upskill to save seed effectively so that the seed we share is the highest quality.
From complete beginner to established growers, we want you!
